Due to the heat emergency declared by the City of Cambridge, this performance has been moved to the Lecture Hall on Level 2 of the Main Library. Robin Byrde is a Boston-based singer-songwriter who enjoys making music in many different genres including pop, rock, folk, and soul. Originally from Southwest Virginia, Robin moved to Boston in 2017 to pursue a degree in opera performance before finding their own unique voice and style. You can often find Robin busking in the Public Garden or the Downtown Crossing T station; don't be afraid to come up and say hello! PARK SOUNDS 2026 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages. Bring a chair, food, and loved ones to celebrate the summer! Funding is provided by the CPL Foundation in memory of Janet Axelrod.

Start the year off right by getting to know Cambridge birds! All ages are welcome to join us as we observe birds at Fresh Pond, which provides habitat for many different species at all times of the year. This event will focus on birds that can be found in the winter in Cambridge, including several species of ducks, sparrows and more. We may also see some of our year-round resident birds, and we will discuss general birdwatching tips and learn more about the birds we share our outdoor spaces with. A limited supply of binoculars will be available. Please dress accordingly as we will be outside for the entire walk. Registration is required for this event. CDD is requesting digital 3D building models for new construction projects after they have received special permits from the Planning Board or have completed Large Project Review advisory procedures.

This summer, 276 Cambridge pre-teens and middle schoolers participated in Cambridge Youth Programs’ (CYP) summer programs at Youth Centers. CYP also offered a variety of teen programming and internship opportunities to Cambridge teens.
