In observance of the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 4, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed, and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations. Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be suspended on the holiday and one day behind schedule for the rest of that week.

Property owners/residents are responsible for removing all snow and ice from sidewalks and accessible ramps next to their property following a storm per City Ordinance. Ice needs to be removed within 6 hours from the time it forms, and snow needs to be removed within 12 hours after snow stops falling during the day and before 1 p.m. if it snowed during the night, per City Ordinance. A Cambridge rabies vaccination clinic for dogs only will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9:00-11:00 a.m., behind the Department of Public Works at 147 Hampshire Street. Cost is $15 per dog. Cash or checks only will be accepted.
