In the 2-day period of Friday & Saturday, February 3rd and 4th, 2023, fire companies across the city responded to numerous emergency calls for service.

Every fire company in the city is an EMS unit, staffed with Firefighter EMTs, Paramedics, and Medical 1st Responders answering more than 7,000 EMS calls per year, providing optimal medical care 24/7/365, under any conditions.

(CALEA®). CALEA was created in 1979 as a credentialing authority through the joint efforts of law enforcement’s major executive associations. A CALEA Accreditation is widely considered in the law enforcement world to be “the gold standard” accreditation, an honor reserved for only top tier police departments. For context, there are approximately 18,000 law enforcement agencies in the United States, and just 1,021 currently hold a CALEA Accreditation of any level.

Listed below are the pedestrian, parking, and traffic restrictions that will be in place in Cambridge for the 2024 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular. Impacts will primarily occur in Boston with Cambridge being directly affected on July 4 – particularly after 4 p.m. All roadways will remain closed (unless noted otherwise) until the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) can clean the roadways and remove event and production assets.
