The City of Cambridge’s Inspectional Services Department offers free exterior rodent control services through its Private Property Rodent Control Program. Since launching in 2021, the program has helped over 900 qualified residential properties by providing professional inspections, treatments, and follow-up visits. Residents also receive education on effective rodent prevention techniques. The City encourages community-wide participation, as sanitation and shared responsibility are essential to keeping neighborhoods rodent-free.

Revitalize Cambridge with 3 new neighborhood murals. This public art project would reflect our cultural diversity, strength, and positive energy. Local artists working with high school students would produce the murals.

Most sexual violence is done by people we know. What can parents, teens, and community members do about it? Meg Stone, author of The Cost of Fear, will offer practical, gender-inclusive strategies for learning safety skills important for resisting coercion, intimidation, and violence. Avoiding violence is about developing skills, not following rules. Women receive advice like "don't wear a ponytail" or "don't shop alone." These tips lack evidence and come from male authorities who avoid questions. We will cover: Demonstration: Learn practical safety gender-inclusive skills. Resist Coercion: Skills to resist friends, those we know, or authority. Empowerment: Feel powerful in stressful situations. Community impact: Personal safety leads to social change. Join the LUCE Immigration Justice Network of Massachusetts to learn how to respond to immigration enforcement in your community. LUCE volunteers will cover bystanders’ rights when witnessing immigration enforcement, as well as how to identify potential Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity and how to safely engage. You will also learn more about LUCE and how their statewide hotline works. This is a hybrid event. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered online participants 1 hour before the event. Interpretation services are available to online attendees by request in a number of languages. To request interpretation, please indicate your language needs on the registration form by Tuesday, March 31st. Registration is encouraged but not required.
