Learn to Sew! A Workshop for Teens, Taught by Teens (Main)
Don’t think you have what it takes to use a sewing machine? Think again! In this FREE workshop, teens from the Cambridge Community Art Center will teach you how to properly thread a machine, sew a straight stitch, hem and unfinished edge, and secure your stitches. Practice by sewing colorful shapes onto small flags. Following the workshop, the flags will be made into a banner and displayed at the Library. No experience necessary. Join us in a lively discussion once a month on books tailored to the 10-12 age range. This month we'll be reading World Famous Nine by Ben Guterson. Read the book and speak with the author directly! CPL Nature Club: Fairy Walk at Bergin Park (O'Neill)
We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for a magical walk through nature. We will look for signs of fairies and build fairy houses.
We will meet at Gerard Bergin Park (Haskell & Pemberton Streets), a short walk from the O'Neill Branch.
In case of bad weather, this program will happen indoors at the O'Neill Branch.
Summer Art Nights: Acrylic Painting (Main)
Art on a nice Summer night? Nothing sounds better than that! Come to the Library and enjoy an art filled evening learning the techniques of acrylic painting. In partnership with artist Brooke Lambert, a professional printmaker and painter, she will take you through this guided art class. The library will provide all materials.
Please try your best to arrive on time or notify us if any lateness. There will be a 10 minute grace period to keep your spot held before going to waitlisted registrants.

Youth Try-it! Dungeons & Dragons Single Session (Valente Branch)
Youth ages 10+ are welcome to join us for a single session of cooperative storytelling and role-play table-top game Dungeons & Dragons. Youth who have never played are encouraged to Try it!, youth with DnD experience are welcome. No registration required.
