Interactive Conversation Benches
The benches will use recordings designed to facilitate interpersonal interaction between people who would not normally interact. The structures will include instructions and conversation prompts to encourage residents to share perspectives.
Kendall Square Central Square Planning Study (K2C2)
The City of Cambridge completed a comprehensive planning study to develop a vision for Central Square, Kendall Square, and the area along Main Street connecting the two squares including the Osborn Triangle.
Work at CYP
Cambridge Youth Programs offers paid opportunities for Cambridge teens. We also encourage young adults and adults to consider joining our youth-serving workforce. Additionally, we welcome community members to volunteer with us.
12-14 Laurel Street
12-14 Laurel Street is a 2.5-story duplex in Cambridgeport between Central Square and the Charles River. The property is owned by a non-profit who is donating the 4,573 square foot site to Just A Start (JAS) to create permanently affordable ownership housing. The existing building will be demolished and replaced with a new, expanded building with a similar façade design.
The project will proceed as-of-right under the AHO.
Plumbing Permit
A plumbing permit is required for all work to be performed in accordance with the pertinent provision of the Massachusetts State Plumbing Code and Chapter 142 of the General Laws.
