With temperatures expected to rise into the 90s this week, the City of Cambridge is excited to welcome the return of waterplay season! Waterplay features at many neighborhood parks and playgrounds are now open for the summer and offer a fun, free way for kids to cool off and stay active. Children of all ages can splash, spray, and play in a variety of water features—like splash pads, sprinklers, and spouts—available seven days a week at select locations.  Note: Waterplay features at school playgrounds will be turned on after the school year ends, beginning June 26.

Drop-in sessions will be limited to 30-minutes for each patron. April Selection: One Pot, Pan, Planet: A Greener Way to Cook for You and Your Family by Anna Jones. Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join. Books will be available for pick up at the Boudreau and Collins Branches during library hours. This event will take place indoors at the Boudreau Branch (245 Concord Ave). The Inman/CAST II project consists of 2 properties, Inman Square Apartments on Cambridge St and CAST II Apartments on Columbia St., purchased and preserved as affordable housing by Homeowners Rehab Inc.

The Food Business Incubator Program offers technical assistance and other resources to food businesses in Cambridge, with a focus on women- and minority-owned businesses as well as first-time food entrepreneurs.
