Today's Teen Hangout has been canceled. Hangout with other teens in the Valente Branch Community Room after school: socialize, unwind, play a game, make some art - your choice! City of Cambridge Issues Emergency Order Requiring Use of Face Coverings
The City of Cambridge issued an emergency order requiring that face coverings be worn in all public places, businesses and common areas of residential buildings. The order takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, and applies to everyone over the age of five years old. Violations may be punishable by a $300 fine.
Annual Spring Community Ride May 20
The 2023 Spring Ride on May 20 will take you past sites of internet and neural network history while utilizing portions of the bicycle network as a demonstration of what the full network will bring. Park Sounds Presents: Reclaiming Folk (Main)
Join us in Joan Lorentz Park from 1-2:30 p.m. for a concert celebrating the roots of folk music with Reclaiming Folk, a concert series that celebrates and honors people of color in folk music, created by singer-songwriter Naomi Westwater. The Cambridge Public Health Department Reports New Cases of COVID-19 in Long-Term Care Facilities
On Monday, October 26, the Cambridge Public Health Department was alerted through the MAVEN surveillance system and the facility that a resident of an assisted living facility in Cambridge tested positive for COVID-19. This individual experienced symptoms of COVID-19 before being brought to a local hospital for evaluation, where they tested positive and were admitted.
Sustaining Community: A Climate Change Book Group
The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our inaugural meeting, we will discuss Walden Warming by Richard B. Primack. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. E-book copies of the book are available to borrow immediately on the Hoopla app. Registration is required.
