Safety, Privacy, & Social Impact of Artificial Intelligence (Main)

Learn about the privacy limitations of Artificial Intelligence (AI), misinformation and scams that use AI, and the social and ethical challenges presented by the introduction of this technology. This class will be delivered by a DOORS program instructor. Civic Assembly

Cambridge is holding its first Civic Assembly from October - December 2026 to consider whether, how, and under what conditions the City should use gunshot-detection technology, such as ShotSpotter, and overnight video surveillance of public parks in its approach to public safety, including what rules, safeguards, and oversight should govern their use.

Sheltered Bike Parking at the Main Library

The Main Library needs more bicycle parking. A glass pavilion, protecting bikes from the weather, landscaped with paths and trees, will be an attractive and functional addition to the library grounds.

Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Plan Listening Session

Please join staff from the cities of Cambridge and Somerville and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) for a listening session about the Updated Combined Sewer Overflow Control Plan project.
