Join this free 1-hour interactive workshop for parents and caregivers ready to spark powerful conversations about race, identity, and belonging. You will gain historical insights, tools to affirm your child’s cultural roots, and connect with others committed to raising antiracist children. The workshop will feature a presentation by Vice Mayor Marc McGovern and a special giveaway: The Village We’re Building digital zine! In accordance with the City’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit, Cambridge is developing a Phosphorus Control Plan to address stormwater runoff to the Charles River. As part of the City’s stormwater program, Cambridge is working to reduce its current phosphorus loads to the Charles River through a combination of non-structural controls, like street cleaning, and structural controls, like tree box filters and rain gardens. Phase 1 of this plan must achieve the first 25% of the City’s phosphorus load reduction requirement by June 30, 2028.

The City of Cambridge announced today that it will not advance to Phase IV, Step 1 of the Commonwealth’s Reopening Plan and will remain in Phase III, Step 2 until further notice. The City will also restrict gathering limits for event venues and in public settings to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors. In addition, the City of Cambridge announced that it is extending the current prohibition on City-sponsored community events, events permitted for the use of City parks, or other City-sponsored public gatherings through May 31, 2021.

Our monthly Middle Grade Mystery book group is for kids aged 10-14.
