Join local artist Brooke Lambert for an introduction to the printmaking process of linocut. This class is for adults with all levels of experiences and will cover techniques in carving linoleum, composition, ink mixing, and printing. Create many beautiful prints and collaborate with classmates in a relaxed and welcoming environment! Registration is required and will open on Monday, March 2 at 10 a.m. Brooke is a professional printmaker and painter. She holds a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and shows her work widely in New England, New York, and beyond. Brooke works in Studio 291 at Western Avenue Studios & Lofts in Lowell, MA. She is currently represented by The Society of American Graphic Artists and Equity Gallery in New York, NY and Galaray House, contemporary art gallery in Lexington, MA. She has thirteen years of teaching experience and currently teaches adult art workshops and holds artist demos at several locations in New England.

LilyPad in Inman Square will be hosting two events on June 13 and 14. Friday, June 13, will feature a live music at the Cambridge Street Court/Yard from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. followed by a brass band procession back to LilyPad’s performance space in Inman. On Saturday, June 14, LilyPad will bring DJ dance party vibes back to the Cambridge Street Court/Yard from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.

The Comedy Studio, a beloved cornerstone of the local comedy scene, is thrilled to announce its return to Harvard Square. In the spirit of community and laughter, The Comedy Studio will host two shows this June on Thursday, June 12th at 6 PM in Brattle Square and Sunday, June 15th at 5 PM in Porter Square. Each event will offer an hour of pure hilarity, featuring a lineup of seasoned comics and fresh new voices. Chef Kelcy will show you how to creatively use what you have on hand to reduce food waste while making flavorful dishes that highlight seasonal ingredients. Whether you're looking to minimize waste in your own kitchen or just love learning new cooking techniques, this class is sure to inspire! Chef Kelcy is a Lowell-based chef and educator who emphasizes seasonal eating and community support. As the Farm Chef at Wright-Locke Farm in Winchester, MA, she conducts educational programs for all ages and creates delightful farm-to-table food experiences.

At their own pace students will learn how to create a design and carve it in linoleum using carving tools. Students will learn how to ink and print their linoleum blocks by hand. In a relaxed and welcoming environment students will create many beautiful prints of their own as well as collaborate with their classmates. This class is suitable for beginners and can be adjusted for all levels of experience. This class is taught by Brooke Lambert, a professional printmaker and painter. She holds a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and shows her work widely in New England, New York, and beyond.
