Governor Baker announced the dates that all remaining residents and certain worker groups will be eligible for a vaccine. The Commonwealth’s detailed timeline adheres to the original timeline for the three phases announced in December. All residents can preregister to book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at mass.gov/COVIDVaccine.

The City of Cambridge and the Cambridge Public Health Department recognize that there are many questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, including safety of the vaccines; trust in government and pharmaceutical companies who developed the vaccines; potential side effects; who should and should not receive the vaccine; and where vaccines will be administered. The City of Cambridge Fossil Fuel Free Ordinance is effective March 22, 2024. The ordinance requires new buildings and major renovation projects to be fossil fuel-free. Fossil fuel-free means not using oil, gas, propane, or other fossil fuels. The requirements apply to both residential and non-residential building projects.

The City of Cambridge offers free weekly curbside textiles collection, as well as drop-off bins at select locations. To schedule your free pick-up, use the Clothing/Textiles Collection tool below. Approximately, 95% of textiles and accessories could be reused/repurposed. This initiative supports the city's goals of reducing waste and is launched in accordance with recommendations from the City's Zero Waste Master Plan.
