Curbside Food Waste Pickup
In 2009, the City set a goal to reduce residential trash disposal by 30% by 2020, and by 80% by 2050. With that goal in mind, the City expanded curbside food waste pickup to all buildings with 1 to 12 units. 25,000 households (8,100 buildings) are now eligible to participate.

Cambridge Works
Cambridge Works, the City's transitional jobs program, serves Cambridge residents between the ages of 18-35 who have difficulty finding full-time jobs due to limited work experience, a gap in their work history, legal challenges, or personal issues. Cambridge Works is offered twice a year, in the spring and fall.
Health Department Recommends COVID-19 Booster Shots
The Cambridge Public Health Department strongly recommends a COVID-19 booster shot for all individuals who are eligible. You should get the booster if you are 18 or older and were fully vaccinated with Pfizer or Moderna at least 6 months ago or Johnson & Johnson at least 2 months ago.
