Harvard Book Store, the Harvard University Division of Science, the Harvard Library, and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Shahir S. Rizk—Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Indiana University South Bend and the Indiana University School of Medicine—and Maggie M. Fink—Adjunct Professor at Indiana University South Bend and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Notre Dame—for a discussion of their new book The Color of North: The Molecular Language of Proteins and the Future of Life. City of Cambridge Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and City Manager Louis A. DePasquale are pleased to announce that the City Manager has appointed a COVID-19 Expert Advisory Panel (EAP), a group of medical and subject matter experts that will support the City’s COVID-19 planning and response efforts.

Starting today, households can order a total of four rapid COVID-19 tests that will be mailed to their home.

Cambridge has announced that two local affordable housing organizations have been awarded grant funding in support of the installation of solar panels on affordable housing in the City.

The goal of this Committee is to work with City staff to develop recommendations on how the City can better assist BIPOC-owned businesses. The Committee will be a sounding board for ideas on strengthening the City’s outreach efforts, information-sharing, business programs and policies, and overall relationship with local BIPOC-owned businesses.

The Cambridge Human Rights Commission (“CHRC”) presents a virtual panel discussion highlighting recent trends, triumphs and obstacles in fair housing.
