Nursing Pod for Mothers and Infants
Provide an attractive private space where working mothers and community members can breastfeed or pump during the work day. Provision of break time and a private area for nursing or pumping is required by the Fair Labor Standards Act.
New Cool Spots Bring Shade and Social Space to Porter Square
The City of Cambridge installed a new series of Cool Spots across Porter Square – welcoming outdoor seating areas designed to bring shade, comfort, and opportunities for social connection to some of the neighborhood’s hottest and most heavily traveled plazas and sidewalks.

Join us for an hour of songs, stories, and social meet-up in Mandarin Chinese with JingJing and Chelsea, two local mothers and educators. This fun and interactive session brings families together in a warm, welcoming environment.
This event is for children and their caregivers. In the first half, listen to engaging stories and sing lively songs. In the second half, children will do an activity, and everyone will have an opportunity to socialize.
Summer Basketball Championship Games
More than 400 young athletes participated in Recreation Summer Basketball Leagues. Attend championship games this week to cheer them on. Free dinner meals will also be served at the games as part of the Cambridge Summer Food Program.
