The City of Cambridge Food Truck Program is designed to provide entrepreneurial opportunities for food truck operators, provide more diverse food options in targeted areas, and bring additional street level amenities to Cambridge public spaces.

It has been a month since the last community update on the City’s response to the shooting and death of Arif Sayed Faisal by a Cambridge Police Officer. Over the last four weeks, the City and Police Department have continued to work hard on a path forward and City Manager Huang is providing the community with an update on the City’s progress.

Designed by local teens in collaboration with engineers, educator mentors, youth advocates and designers, SHADE is one of three temporary public art structures that have been installed across the as part of the City of Cambridge’s Shade Is Social Justice program to provide shade and seating, and to further the city’s efforts to address our warming world.

The City of Cambridge Free Seed Library is now open in the Public Works building at 147 Hampshire Street. All are welcome to take seed packets.

City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024 in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Payments will not be required at Cambridge parking meters and pay stations on January 1, 2024. Curbside collection of trash, recycling, and compost will be suspended on January 1 and will be one day behind its regular schedule that week. Please note that yard waste pick-up and street cleaning ends on December 29 and will resume in April 2024.
