Fourth Traffic Impacts
The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures throughout Fourth of July weekend due to several large community events. These include the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, the Fourth of July Weekend Block Party and Vintage Market, and the US Army’s 250th Birthday celebration.
Cambridge NITES with Ultimate Entertainment Group
Ultimate Entertainment Group (UEG) will blend vintage cars, southern-style music, and a little rock and roll in Brattle Square on June 28, from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. This exciting collaboration with DX Arcade and the Harvard Square Business Association will bring together folks of any generation with car lovers and music lovers alike.
[CANCELLED] Park Sounds: The Lion Sisters (Main)
The Lion Sisters are a sibling duo with Josi on fiddle and vocals, and Lily on guitar and vocals. They're from New Hampshire, known for tight sister harmonies and genre-blending sound that fuses folk, bluegrass, Irish fiddle, vintage country with a modern edge.
PARK SOUNDS 2026 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages. Bring a chair, food, and loved ones to celebrate the summer! Funding is provided by the CPL Foundation in memory of Janet Axelrod.

Meet neighborhood locations and greet your neighbors! Join Stefanie Haug, local mindful nature guide, as we explore Cambridge one neighborhood at a time, with a local library branch as our home base. These leisurely walks blend local history, nature, and contemplative practices, with lots of time to pause and share. Participants are encouraged to bring their own neighborhood stories, discover something new, and build connections with people and places.
The our final neighborhood walk through East Cambridge, launching from the lovely O'Connell Library. The walk will conclude at Elmendorf Baking Store & Cafe close to the library.
What to bring: layered clothing, comfortable shoes and water.
Where to meet: At the O'Connell Branch entrance.

Sacred Songs and Rituals: In The Roundhouse: A Celebration of Indigenous Music (Main)
This Sacred Songs and Rituals is in celebration of National Native American Heritage Month. Featuring Thea Hopkins, Asa Peters, and Jim Peters.
A member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag tribe of Martha’s Vineyard MA, award-winning performing songwriter Thea Hopkins calls her music Red Roots Americana. She has been described as a “standout writer” by the Washington Post and "superb" by Americana (UK). Venues where Thea has performed include Lincoln Center (NY), Massey Hall (CN), the Kennedy Center (DC), the Atkinson (UK), the Woody Guthrie Festival and the Bluebird Cafe (TN). She first came to greater public notice when Peter, Paul & Mary recorded her song, “Jesus Is On The Wire” in 2004 and again in 2010 with the Prague Symphony Orchestra. Her new album, "Blossoms & Ghosts", released in February 2026 is both timely and timeless.
Asa Peters and Jim Peters are members of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers, a group that preserves and performs traditional Wampanoag dances, songs, and cultural practices. The Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers are a group of musicians, educators, and artisans from the tribal communities of Mashpee on Cape Cod, Aquinnah on Martha's Vineyard, and Herring Pond in Bourne.
