Water Fountains in Every Park
Install new water fountain/bottle-fillers at up to 9 parks that lack drinking water fixtures. If this initiative wins, funding will be complete for water fountain installation in most of the City owned parks.
Join Black History Stroll Feb. 4
Join Cambridge City Councilor E. Denise Simmons for the 2023 Black History Stroll, touring the Cambridge Museum of History and Culture’s exhibition of 15 posters recognizing people of color who blazed trails in Cambridge.
Cambridge Launches Storm Stewards Volunteer Program
This new program is aimed at protecting the health of our local rivers and reducing street flooding. Residents and business owners are encouraged to participate by claiming a storm drain in their neighborhood and keeping it clear of debris, particularly ahead of rain events. With 5,800 City owned storm drains in Cambridge, the task of maintaining them is substantial. City crews work diligently to clear storm drains before and after storms, but this task can be completed more quickly with community assistance.
Small Business Coaching
Information about the City of Cambridge's Small Business Coaching Program. The program provides coaches to eligible small business owners interested in getting one-on-one assistance in succession planning, restaurant management, marketing, and bookkeeping.
