Summer Reading: Hooping Program with Wildkat Hoops (Main)
Put on your dancing shoes for an unforgettable workshop of hula hoop magic with Kat Suwalski! You will learn basic hooping moves while increasing hand-eye coordination, strength, balance, and agility. No prior hooping experience is required. Hoops are provided. Recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers.

Partial Roadway Paving Enhancements Scheduled for October 2022
Beginning October 17th, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, E J Paving, will be performing partial roadway grinding and paving operations to enhance the road conditions on several sections of street around the City. The roadway grinding operation at each location is expected take two days followed by paving of the roadway later that same week, or the following week (weather permitting). Summer Reading: Springfield Symphony Orchestra's Musical Petting Zoo (Main)
Here’s your chance to try an instrument in a judgment-free zone that encourages exploration and excitement! After an introduction to the instruments, participants get a chance to bow a violin, blow a horn or tap out a rhythm on a drum. Recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers.

Live at the Library: Concert with Rolie Polie Guacamole (O'Neill)
Join us for a rock concert with the band Rolie Polie Guacamole. This program is for families with children of all ages! No registration is required.

Public Art Commission
The Cambridge Public Art Commission helps guide the implementation of the Public Art Ordinance and the Art Gifts and Donation Policy, and advises on the overall direction of the City of Cambridge’s Public Art Program. The Commission brings its collective expertise to bear on discussions regarding the various program areas of the public art program, such as acquisition and deaccession, project planning, maintenance, conservation, educational programming, and the exhibitions in Gallery 344. The Commission reviews every percent-for-art project from artists’ proposals to final design. PAC approval is required before a project can go into fabrication.

Join us outdoors at the O'Connell Branch to celebrate the end of the school year and the start of the summer!
Come for free ice cream while supplies last. No registration is required. All ages are welcome!
Family STEAM Night: Drawing Animals with Lindsey Leigh (O'Neill)
It's creepy crawly week at the Library!
Families with elementary school-age children join us for hands-on activities focused on Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math. Adults and children will learn and play together!
In March we will be joined by author and illustrator Lindsey Leigh to learn about drawing and cartooning animals!
