DPW Announces Draft Strategies from updated Zero Waste Master Plan
On October 22, the Department of Public Works (DPW) presented nine strategies to City Council’s Health & Environment Committee on draft changes to improve on the City’s waste programs. The draft strategies are part of the City’s updated Zero Waste Master Plan (ZWMP), and the City seeks feedback from all Cambridge stakeholders by November 30, 2024.

Read to a Dog (O'Neill)
Read with a cuddly friend! Trained therapy dogs provide warm and nonjudgmental reading companions for new or experienced readers up to age 14. Registration for each 10-minute time slot is required and begins on Tuesday, April 1 by calling or visiting the O’Neill Branch Library at 617-349-4023.
Summer Reading: Family Combat Robotics with Guild Hall Learning (Main)
Join us for a collaborative experience where families build and battle robots together. This event is recommended for children ages 7 and up and their families.
This program can accommodate 16 families. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. This program starts promptly. Unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Sennott Park Renovation Project
The City is planning to make repairs and modest improvements to Sennott Park. Construction is anticipated to begin late Summer 2021
Brattle Street Two-way Separated Bike Lane
The City used Participatory Budgeting funds to install a two-way separated bicycle facility on Brattle Street in July 2017, informed by historic analyses and discussions, and aligned with the Vision Zero and Complete Streets Policies and additional City policies (Climate Action Plan, Growth Policy, Vehicle Trip Reduction Ordinance, School Wellness Policy, and others).
500 Years Film Screening
The Mayor's Office and Cultural Survival are partnering to present "500 Years" documentary in the Sullivan Chamber of City Hall.
