DePasquale today announced that the second phase of the Temporary Emergency Shelter at the War Memorial Recreation Center is scheduled to open on April 17. The Field House is an exclusive area at the shelter that will provide dining, daytime services and overnight shelter for Cambridge residents experiencing homelessness.

Recommendations of the City Manager’s Task Force to Examine the Future of Public Safety in Cambridge

The City of Cambridge is proud to announce that it has again been awarded the Bloomberg Philanthropies What Works Cities Certification at the Gold level for its use of data to inform policy decisions, allocate funding, improve services, evaluate program effectiveness, and engage residents. DePasquale announced today that the City of Cambridge Relief and Recovery Programs, the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund for small businesses, and the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority (CRA) Zero-Interest Loan program is distributing nearly $3.6 Million to Cambridge small businesses financially impacted by the COVID-19 public health crisis.

The City of Cambridge is pleased to announce a new pilot program that will provide up to 20-30 students with free tuition at Bunker Hill Community College and a College Success Coach this school year.

City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Tuesday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday, and payments will not be required at parking meters and parking meter pay stations. The offices at Cambridge Cemetery, 76 Coolidge Avenue, will also be closed on July 4, however, the cemetery gates will be open from 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
