Residents and business owners and their employees are invited to stop by a Coffee Talk to meet with City staff and contractors to ask questions related to the Harvard Square Plaza Reconstruction Project.

A Central Square Roundtable was hosted last week in the Sullivan Chamber at Cambridge City Hall to update the City Council and interested members of the community on the City of Cambridge’s ongoing investments, commitments, and dedicated programming in the Central Square area.

Expect traffic impacts from community events in Harvard Square and along Massachusetts Avenue on Sunday, October 9.

A municipal property needs assessment and planning study for developable properties owned by the City of Cambridge in and around Central Square. The study will identify how the City can best leverage our properties to support municipal services and advance City priorities.

UPDATE: Due to the impacts of this week's winter storm, this walk has been canceled. There will be another walk on Wednesday, February 25th. Register for that walk at this link. Join us for a morning walk at one of the most renowned bird watching spots in Cambridge, Mount Auburn Cemetery! We will help you identify birds, learn birdwatching tips and tricks, and familiarize yourself with migratory birds as well as those that can be spotted all year round. A limited supply of binoculars will be available. The walk will meet at the Collins Branch Library at 64 Aberdeen Ave at 10:15 am. We will walk to Mt. Auburn Cemetery together (about a five minute walk). Please try to be on time as we will leave shortly after 10:15! Registration is required. This event can only accommodate a certain number of participants. One registration is good for one person. If you do not register, you cannot participate. Those on the waitlist will be contacted if a space becomes available.

The historic kiosk in the center of Harvard Square will reopen as The Cambridge Kiosk and will serve as a community gathering space and visitor information center.

Please join us on Saturday, November 30 as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of Cambridge Fire Engine Company No. 5 in Inman Square. The celebration will be at the Inman Square Fire House at 11 a.m.
