Main Street Safety Improvement Project
The City of Cambridge is moving forward with safety upgrades on Main Street, building on the foundation laid by community outreach efforts in 2023 through the Main Street Safety Improvement Project. These changes aim to enhance safety and accessibility for all road users by installing separated bike lanes, improving pedestrian crossings, and introducing measures to slow vehicle speeds.
MBTA Expands Bus Service in Cambridge
Recent changes include the return of weekend service on Route 64 along eastern Broadway for the first time since 1981, more frequent trips and extended hours on Routes 66, 71, 73, and 77, and upcoming improvements as part of the MBTA Bus Network Redesign plan.
City of Cambridge Celebrates Black History Month With Music, Theater, Tributes and More
The City of Cambridge will host a series of events and feature a variety of stories throughout February in celebration of Black History Month. Throughout the month, programs led by the Public Library, Veterans Services, Office of Equity and Inclusion, and more will highlight Black theater, poetry, movies, musical traditions, and cuisine to celebrate Black heritage and culture.
