Roundtable/Working Meeting City Council Meeting

Install outdoor chess tables in parks, city squares, and near libraries. This project will encourage community interaction through chess, checkers, and other board games! This project will ensure that residents can borrow chess sets from public libraries.

In 2013 the City completed the renovation three neighborhood parks in Cambridgeport. Alberico Park, David Nunes (Old Morse) Park, and Fulmore Park are small to moderately sized parks located in Cambridgeport along Allston Street and Sidney Street.

The Library celebrates Juneteenth with the Dave Macklin Band as they pay tribute to the musical contributions of Black artists. PARK SOUNDS 2025 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages. Bring a chair, food, and loved ones to celebrate the summer! Funding is provided by the CPL Foundation.

City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023, in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Please also note that all library locations will also be closed on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Parking meter payments will not be required at Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations on January 1 and 2, 2023.

Exercise is crucial to health and wellbeing. This project will install a permanent outdoor fitness station to make outdoor exercise more accessible to the Cambridge community.

The City Council, the policy setting arm of the City, derives its powers from the City Charter and the laws and Constitution of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

An area in Flagstaff Park is being converted to a meadow in the coming months in an attempt to allow more open areas of the City to be more natural. Adding natural areas to our parks and streetscapes will encourage a greater diversity of plant and insect species.

Due to the heat emergency declared by the City of Cambridge, this performance has been moved to the Lecture Hall on Level 2 of the Main Library. Robin Byrde is a Boston-based singer-songwriter who enjoys making music in many different genres including pop, rock, folk, and soul. Originally from Southwest Virginia, Robin moved to Boston in 2017 to pursue a degree in opera performance before finding their own unique voice and style. You can often find Robin busking in the Public Garden or the Downtown Crossing T station; don't be afraid to come up and say hello!
