When choosing native plants, you have to ask the right questions to get the best results. Kim Eierman will help you sort out the mysteries and complexities of native plant selection including: Am I buying a genetic clone, and does it matter? What are local ecotypes and where can I buy them? Are native cultivars ok? Are dwarf nativars ecologically-useful? What’s the tradeoff with double flowers? Which native plants require pollination partners (i.e. are dioecious) and how do I source them? What are the pros and cons of planting native seeds vs. live plants? City of Cambridge to Make 10,000 COVID-19 Rapid At-Home Test Kits and 20,000 High-Quality Masks Available for the Public to Pick Up at Sites Across the City
The City of Cambridge announced that, beginning Saturday, February 5, 10,000 COVID-19 rapid at-home test kits and 20,000 high-quality KF94 masks will be available for the public to pick up at the Main Library, City Hall, and multiple Fire Stations across the City during select dates and times while supplies last.

Get Help with Winter Heating Bills: Apply to the Home Energy Assistance Program
The Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) helps income-eligible Cambridge and Somerville residents pay their winter heating bills between November 1 – April 30. Applications to HEAP are accepted beginning October 1.
