Beech At Elm Pop-Up
The City of Cambridge plans to redesign Beech Street near the intersection at Elm Street. The project will shorten pedestrian crossings and simplify the intersection by creating a T-shaped layout. To make these improvements possible, about six resident permit parking spaces on Beech Street near the bend will be removed.
“Still Marching 1970-2017” Exhibit Opening Reception
“Still Marching 1970-2017,” an exhibition of original photographs by Liane Brandon, opens with a reception sponsored by the Cambridge Public Library, the Cambridge Women's Commission, and the Cambridge Historical Commission. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is not required. Liane Brandon received funding for "Still Marching" through a Local Cultural Council Grant from the Cambridge Arts Council.
Heat Awareness for Older Adults (Main)
Join Nancy Porter, Director of Resilience and Emergency Preparedness with the Cambridge Public Health Department, for a discussion on how to keep yourselves and others safe in hotter temperatures. Older adults are more vulnerable in periods of high temperatures because the body cools itself down less effectively - especially if you have medical conditions or take certain medications.
Registration requested but not required.
June 10 to 19 Traffic Impacts
The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures throughout the week due to several community events. These include Haggerty Day, the Greek Festival, the US Army’s 250th Birthday, Hoops ‘N’ Health, 617 Day Block Party, and the Juneteenth Parade and Celebration.

The City of Cambridge’s Community Development Department (CDD) and Traffic, Parking, and Transportation Department (TP+T) are hosting an Information Session and two Scheduled Office Hours to allow anyone interested in finding out more about Flexible Parking Corridors to ask questions and how they can start sharing their parking spaces.
