2025 Domestic Violence Vigil Honors Those Lost in DV Incidents
On Wednesday, October 8, 2025 CPD joined other community members on the lawn of City Hall for the annual Domestic Violence Vigil. The vigil is held each October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month to honor the Massachusetts women, men, and children who have tragically lost their lives during domestic violence incidents over the past year.
Summer Reading: Community Build (O'Neill)
Join friends at the O'Neill Branch to build, build, BUILD! Let your imagination run wild with LEGOs, Magna-Tiles and other building toys. The Library has plenty of LEGO pieces, so you don't need to bring your own. For children ages 5 and up. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by a caregiver. LEGO pieces are choking hazards for young children.
Trivia Night! (O'Neill)
Come join us for Trivia Night! Test your knowledge of science, history, literature, and culture. Snacks will be provided. Individuals and groups are welcome. Registration is helpful, but not required.

Main Street Safety Improvement Project
The City of Cambridge is moving forward with safety upgrades on Main Street, building on the foundation laid by community outreach efforts in 2023 through the Main Street Safety Improvement Project. These changes aim to enhance safety and accessibility for all road users by installing separated bike lanes, improving pedestrian crossings, and introducing measures to slow vehicle speeds.

Unveiling of Native Spaces - Indigenous Street Signs Project
The City of Cambridge and members of the local Massachusett tribe will unveil newly installed street signs in East Cambridge that will be presented in both the Massachusett and English languages. The special event will take place on Friday, November 29 at 2 p.m. at the intersection of Third Street and Binney Street in East Cambridge (Parcel 6).
