Apply to the 2026 DHSP Summer Lottery through March 9!
The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer programs to Cambridge children and youth currently in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The deadline to apply to the 2025 DHSP Summer Lottery application is Monday, March 9.

Gold Star Pool
Gold Star Pool, located at 123 Berkshire Street, is open every summer for Cambridge residents to enjoy open swim. The facility has two ADA-compliant pools: a Beginner Pool (maximum depth of 3-6 ft.) and a Lap Pool.
Rise Up Cambridge
Rise Up Cambridge was a $22 million commitment from the City of Cambridge to provide assistance to families with kids.
Alewife Fish Book
Published in 1979, the Alewife "Fish Book" plan offered a revised vision for redevelopment of Alewife, then an aging industrial area in western Cambridge.
Economic Development Policy
Addresses challenges and opportunities offered by the economic environment of Cambridge. Expands upon these themes, analyzes recent economic trends, and enumerates existing policies and programs that grow from them.
