Members Sought for Three Cambridge Neighborhood Conservation District Commissions (Application Deadline 2-6-23)
Neighborhood Conservation Districts were established by city ordinance in 1983. Conservation district designation recognizes a distinctive physical environment that reflects the architectural, cultural, political, economic, or social history of the city. NCDs foster wider public knowledge and appreciation of such neighborhoods. Designation encourages the conservation and maintenance of these areas so that the city may be a more attractive and desirable place in which to live and work.
Mass Ave Planning Study Community Meeting - Plan Recommendations
The planning team will share recommendations developed with the community over the course of the sixteen-month planning process that will help to Make Mass Ave more beautiful, produce more housing , provide more neighborhood amenities, support small businesses, and improve sidewalks and walkability
Volleyball Court at Danehy Park
Creating an outdoor volleyball court would be an exciting addition to the city, especially since there is not currently an outdoor court in all of Cambridge! The court would have sand and a sturdy net for three-season usage.
Wellington-Harrington Community Garden
The Wellington-Harrington neighborhood is full of gardeners but has no community gardens. Let’s support our neighbors’ desire to bring a community garden to Wellington-Harrington. They’ve organized, we’ve listened - let’s make it happen!
Make Massachusetts Avenue Safer for Bikers
Improve safety on Massachusetts Avenue by adding shared lane markings for bicycles, along with signs saying “Bike Route,” “Bicycle May Use Full Lane,” and “Watch for Cyclists” where bike lanes are not already present.
