Cambridge GIS has released a new 3D Web Scene with a detailed 3D texture model for a demo area in Kendall Square.

3D web scenes allow you to pan and zoom around a model or take a tour though a specific project or area.

This very actively used park lies along Broadway at the intersection with Norfolk Street and is right next to the Area IV Youth Center. The area features multi-purpose playing fields, a playground, water play and basketball courts. One edge of the park was improved in 2010 with a walking path, ornamental fencing, park furniture and landscaping.

There will be traffic impacts across the greater Boston area due to Sumner Tunnel and the MBTA Red Line closures in July 2024.

The City of Cambridge and DivcoWest, the developer of NorthPoint, will be implementing storm water infrastructure improvements on Binney Street. The new drainage system will be installed in Binney Street from Cardinal Medeiros Avenue to the area west of Galileo Galilei Way, through the park area to Broadway. The system will be owned and maintained by the City of Cambridge.
