The Finance Department is responsible for the City's operating and capital finances, and fort processing payments for real estate and personal property taxes, municipal lien certificates, motor vehicle excise tax, and water bills.

No person shall place, affix, erect, constitute or maintain a news rack in or on any part of a public way without first obtaining a Certificate of Compliance from the Department of Public Works.
Office of Early Childhood
The Cambridge Office of Early Childhood (OEC) works to develop an easily accessed, aligned and coherent system of affordable high-quality education and care that begins with prenatal care and extends through third grade in Cambridge. OEC also oversees the Cambridge Preschool Program, which provides access to free preschool for all Cambridge 4-year-olds.
