The Central Square Development Guidelines have been compiled to assist residents, property owners, developers and the City in reviewing proposed development projects within the Central Square Overlay District.

9 - Neighborhood Nine
Neighborhood Nine is a moderate-density residential neighborhood with around twelve thousand residents, ranging from Harvard Square to Porter Square in the east and bordered by Concord Avenue the commuter rail tracks.
Kick Back and Color! (Central Square)
Drop by the Central Square Branch's Lewis Room to color and chat with your neighbors. Coloring supplies and snacks will be provided.

Riverside Neighborhood Study 2003
2003 report with recommendations developed by a study committee composed of neighborhood residents worked with CDD staff. Cover housing, land use and zoning, urban design, transportation, open space, institutional uses, and economic development. Updates 1992 report.
Safer Crosswalks for Busy Roads
Install flashing light signs on six crosswalks that pedestrians can activate before crossing the street. These flashing signs make drivers more aware of crossing pedestrians to help prevent crashes, especially at night.
