The City of Cambridge launched the 10th Cycle of Participatory Budgeting and collected over 1,100 ideas from the community between September 11 – October 9, 2023, about how to spend $2 million on projects to improve Cambridge.

LFP Restoration Goals

The project includes reconstruction of Longfellow Road as a "Shared Street," which consists of having roadway and sidewalks at the same level.

Fairmont Avenue has officially transformed into Cambridge’s newest Shared Street! With construction now complete, the response from neighbors has been overwhelmingly positive. Residents are already enjoying the refreshed look and enhanced community feel of the street.

Head out onto the Reservation with Ranger Jean to help with the hard work needed to keep Fresh Pond beautiful!

The City of Cambridge will be renovating the basketball court area at the Gold Star Mothers Park in East Cambridge.
