Harvard Book Store, the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji—fourth President of the International Criminal Court, Distinguished International Jurist at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at the Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Special Advisor to the President of the University—for a discussion of his latest book End of Immunity: Holding World Leaders Accountable for Aggression, Genocide, War Crimes, and Crimes against Humanity. Celebrate the beginning of the new year, 12 hours early! Families with children of all ages join us for crafts, activities, and a Noon Year's Eve countdown!

Join in to reflect on and identify goals for the new year as we create visual representations of those goals with collage! Crafting materials such as paper, magazines, scissors, and glue sticks are provided. No registration needed, no cost.

Party like you just got your first library card! Kindergartners and their grown-ups are invited to a special party! Drop in between 5:30 and 6:30pm to enjoy pizza, create a collaborative mural, and learn about all the fun things you can do with your new library card! Kindergartners, along with their families and friends, are welcome to attend.

Can a robot be a friend? Can a robot help do your chores? An educator from the Museum of Science leads Robot Storytime to explore these questions through an original story. After the story, participants can interact with a robot dog! This program will happen twice. Come to either the 10:30 AM or 11:30 AM session. No registration required. Recommended for ages 0-7 with a caregiver.

Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy for a meander through the neighborhood to meet city plants and explore their medicinal uses! We will explore weeds and cultivated plants, trees and shrubs, and have lots of space for questions and conversation. Bring a notebook if you like, and meet us at the Central Square Branch Library. Note this program begins at the library but will then walk throughout the neighborhood -- arriving late may mean you miss the group at the library and will not be able to catch up.

Learn about our Reading/Writing and Math classes for adults and take a placement test. Students work towards their high school equivalency (GED/HiSET) or want to improve their skills.
