Arts Collective: Press and Paint (Main)
Have you ever wanted to design your own custom nail set? Well come to the Library and dive into the world of nail art. Local licensed nail tech, Munah of Fine Geh Glam, will guide you in this fun and creative art class. You will learn about proper nail care and treatments and leave with a one-of-a-kind nail set of your own. All supplies will be provided by the Library.
Summer Reading: Drop-In Button Making Workshop (Boudreau)
Come try your hand at making a beautiful pin or magnet! Draw your own design, and learn to use our button making machine. Each attendee will have the opportunity to make one or two printed designs as well. This event is recommended for school-age children. No registration necessary - just drop in anytime during the event (while supplies last).
Trivia Night! (O'Neill)
Come join us for Trivia Night! Test your knowledge of science, history, literature, and culture. Snacks will be provided. Individuals and groups are welcome. Registration is helpful, but not required.
Kids Paint Party at the Library (O'Connell)
Join us for a fun afternoon of painting, led by local artist Lynn Vandick! This paint party is geared toward kids ages 7-12. Each participant will receive two 8x10 canvases, and Lynn will lead participants through the steps of painting a fun design. There will be various designs available to choose from. Acrylic paint can stain clothing. Please wear old clothing. No experience necessary. Kids age 7-12 are welcome. Registration is required and will open two weeks before the event.
Telling Our Stories: Life Review and Ley Lines of Love (Main)
Join author Olivia Hoblitzelle as she talks about the process of reviewing your life. Whatever one's age, the process of life review can be a creative and illuminating experience. However one chooses to do it - whether through writing, art, photographs, or recording stories - surprising insights and revelations can happen. Additionally, Olivia will reflect on her recent spiritual memoir Ley Lines of Love: Adventures Along the Spiritual Path.
Medication Takeback Event
Safe medication disposal protects your family and the environment. Rather than throwing away or flushing unused prescriptions or over-the-counter meds, let the City help you get rid of them!
