This event has been canceled due to the temporary closing of the Valente Branch. Join us for an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class! This class will be taught at a beginner level. The City of Cambridge today announced the cancellation of the Annual City Dance Party that was scheduled to be held on June 26 in front of Cambridge City Hall, and announced that all City-sponsored community events, athletic events, events permitted for the use of City parks or other City-sponsored public gatherings will be cancelled through July 1, 2020 or postponed to a later date.

The Baker-Polito Administration, Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg and the Massachusetts State Lottery announced the Massachusetts VaxMillions Giveaway for residents who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Fully vaccinated residents 18 and older will have the opportunity to enter to win of five, $1 million cash prizes. Fully vaccinated residents between 12-17 years of age may enter for the chance to win one of five $300,000 scholarship grants.

Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House is partnering with Cambridge Health Alliance for a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, August 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the 17th Annual Port Pride event. The clinic will be located at 71 Cherry Street. Everyone ages 12 and over is welcome to get a free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of immigration status. No ID or health insurance is needed.

At approximately 1:45 this afternoon a Cambridge Police Department Youth Resource Officer assigned to Cambridge Rindge and Latin School accidentally discharged their firearm while using a staff bathroom inside the school. There were no injuries. The officer immediately notified department supervisors and the school administration. CPD then responded to the scene and are currently investigating. The school day was not disrupted and there were no other injuries.

It's a Library dance party! Recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. This program can accommodate 130 people. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket.
