The Cambridge Public Health Department is hosting free flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics for the Cambridge community, and partnering with VaxAbilities on two clinics (Oct. 19 and Nov. 16) with extra staff to provide skilled support to people with disabilities and/or sensory support needs.
Climate Action Book Club (Collins)
Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Water in a Warming World Book: The High House by Jessie Greengrass Meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available at the Collins Branch during library hours. Cambridge Public Library Closing for Renovations Aug. 17-23
After five years and over 3 million visitors, Cambridge Public Library will close for restoration and upgrades that cannot be done while open. When the Main Library reopens on Aug. 24, they will debut our new Express Checkout system, featuring Self-Service Reserves and More Self-Checkout Stations!
