People and pets should avoid contact with Alewife Brook and parts of the Mystic River due to the release of stormwater mixed with sewage into the river. The release of mixed stormwater and sewage—known as a “combined sewer overflow (CSO)”—is needed to prevent contaminated water from backing up into homes, businesses, and city streets.

LilyPad in Inman Square will be hosting two events on June 13 and 14. Friday, June 13, will feature a live music at the Cambridge Street Court/Yard from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. followed by a brass band procession back to LilyPad’s performance space in Inman. On Saturday, June 14, LilyPad will bring DJ dance party vibes back to the Cambridge Street Court/Yard from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.

Facilitated by the library social worker, this online group offers a safe and confidential online space for peers to come together, share common experiences and heal in community.
