The Cambridge Summer Food Program ensures that youth ages 18 and younger have access to free, nutritious meals while school is out of session. In 2024, the program served over 80,000 meals at parks, sports leagues, summer camps, and community events across the city. Beyond meals, the program offers recreational activities and literacy support, including weekly visits from the Cambridge Book Bike, making summer a time for both nourishment and enrichment.

March Selection: What Can I Bring? by Casey Elsass. Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join. Books will be available for pick up at the Boudreau and Collins Branches during library hours. Week 1: Foundation and Idea Validation. Learn the basics of entrepreneurship, including mindset and risk. Develop and test your business idea by solving real problems. Understand key customer service principles to improve experience. Get a quick intro to marketing and e-commerce fundamentals.

On January 25, 2018, the Cambridge Redevelopment Authority (CRA), in consultation with the City of Cambridge, issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to select a master tenant to occupy, activate, program, and maintain the City-owned Foundry building at 101 Rogers Street.

The City of Cambridge installed a new series of Cool Spots across Porter Square – welcoming outdoor seating areas designed to bring shade, comfort, and opportunities for social connection to some of the neighborhood’s hottest and most heavily traveled plazas and sidewalks.

In order to develop Cambridge Crossing, DivcoWest was required to make improvements to Monsignor O’Brien Highway from Third Street to Museum Way. These improvements have included subsurface and surface infrastructure upgrades. This section of Monsignor O’Brien Highway is being transformed from a highway into a tree lined boulevard with bicycle lanes/cycle tracks, new sidewalks and significantly improved pedestrian crossings. Due to the construction associated with the MBTA’s Green Line Extension (GLX) Project, these improvements have been phased over several years.
