Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. For September we will read "Sweeping Past" from Gold Boy, Emerald Girl by Yiyun Li. Copies of the Story are available for checkout at the branch, though no preparation is needed. Please drop in!

The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer camps and programs to Cambridge children and youth in grades K-8. Summer camps and programs include curricula that emphasizes social opportunities, creative projects, educational field trips, sporting activities, and more!

Many of the parks in Mid-Cambridge will soon need repair or replacement. We would like to work together with neighbors to create a plan for these parks and open spaces. By working together, we can make sure future park updates and plans meet the needs of our community & neighborhood.

A book discussion group for adults at the O'Neill Branch Library, reading a mixture of fiction and nonfiction. Past titles include Gathering Moss by Robin Wall Kimmerer and Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell. Print copies are available for pickup at the O'Neill Branch Library. This month's book selection is also available as a digital audiobook through Libby/OverDrive.

Join us for an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class! This class will be taught at a beginner level. No testing is needed. Everyone is welcome. The Cambridge Police Department offers a free Child Safety Seat Installation and Inspection service to help residents properly install car seats, booster seats, and seatbelts. Trained officers inspect seats, provide guidance, and may supply free car seats to families in need, all to ensure children are traveling safely and legally under Massachusetts law.
