Join us for a three-part series on Black men’s mental health! Thursdays, April 16, and 30 at 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The sessions will be held at Elks Lodge, 55 Bishop Allen Drive in Cambridge.

Young people ages 10 to 14 who love to write are welcome to share their ideas and writing. There will be time for share-outs/workshopping, as well as group or solo writing. Snacks are provided! This week we will be joined by guest author Patrick Joyce, author of Back in the USSR and Strawberry Fields. If you are attending for the first time, registration is helpful, but not required.

Learn how to restore biodiversity and help slow climate change — while creating a beautiful garden! Join Amy Meltzer as we discuss the following: The current biodiversity crisis The shared evolutionary history among native birds, insects and plants How your support of those relationships are necessary for the species' survival How your garden can support biodiversity How you can help our Cambridge public plantings thrive This is a hybrid event. The Youth Employment Center, located in Room 2101 in the Rindge building at CRLS Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, helps teens prepare their resume, practice interview skills, and find afterschool and summer jobs.

Add 5 touchless rodent-resistant “Big Belly” recycling and trash compactors in Cambridge. Big Belly bins are solar-powered and more efficient than traditional bins. They keep the City cleaner, reduce the rodent population, and increase access to recycling.

The Affordable Housing Trust will hold its monthly meeting in-person and via Zoom webinar. April's meeting, previously scheduled for April 23, will be held on April 30, 2026 at 4 p.m. at City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave, in the Ackermann Room. The Community Development Department (CDD) has partnered with CultureHouse and the Cambridge Office for Tourism to activate the historic Kiosk in Harvard Square. The kiosk will be a community space featuring informational services and a variety of community programming.

The annual Cambridge Arts Open Studios will take place all across Cambridge on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22, 2024, from noon to 6 p.m. each day. The citywide event celebrates all the creativity that is Cambridge. Shop for paintings, prints, clothing, ceramics, and all sorts of locally-made creations when you visit artists' studios and in group exhibitions in Common Venues throughout the city.

Learn how to use our Sony FX6 camera to film your own videos! In this session, you'll also practice lighting for film and editing a short video using provided footage. Registration is required. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop. Please arrive on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you will not be able to join the class. After completing this training, you will be able to reserve out Multimedia Studio during Open Shop Hours.
