Clothing & Textiles Recycling
The City of Cambridge offers free weekly curbside textiles collection, as well as drop-off bins at select locations. To schedule your free pick-up, use the Clothing/Textiles Collection tool below. Approximately, 95% of textiles and accessories could be reused/repurposed. This initiative supports the city's goals of reducing waste and is launched in accordance with recommendations from the City's Zero Waste Master Plan.
Upcoming Vaccine Clinics in Cambridge
The City of Cambridge Pandemic Collaborative and its partners is offering upcoming COVID-19 vaccine clinics. These clinics are free. No appointment is required, and you do not need insurance, an ID, or a social security number to get the vaccine. Getting a vaccine will NOT affect a public charge determination or immigration status.

Massachusetts offers a 24/7 toll-free, multi-lingual domestic violence hotline that coordinates access to emergency shelters statewide. Each call is answered by a trained advocate who provides non-judgmental support, assistance with safety planning, and information on options and resources.
Monthly Hypertension Walk-In Session
Take control of your high blood pressure and health: The Cambridge Public Health Department’s Healthy Eating and Active Living team is partnering with CHA’s Windsor Clinic to offer monthly walk-in education sessions on hypertension (high blood pressure) prevention and maintenance strategies.
Cambridge Youth Boxing and Fitness Program
The Cambridge Youth Boxing and Fitness Program is a collaboration between the Cambridge Police Department Family and Social Justice Section and the Cambridge YMCA. It is a gender inclusive, non-contact, fitness-based boxing program for Cambridge youth in grades 6-12.
Implementation of the City's Urban Forestry Master Plan is improving Cambridge's tree canopy
The City is pleased to release the 2020 Canopy Assessment completed by the University of Vermont, which shows that the implementation of the Urban Forestry Master Plan is improving our tree canopy. Building canopy is a slow and steady race, but we are seeing substantive progress. The investments in tree plantings and maintenance combined with tree preservation initiatives are reversing the loss of tree canopy.
