A Cambridge Police officer has been placed on administrative leave after being arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol following a multi-vehicle crash early Monday morning.

A Cambridge Police Department (CPD) detective assigned to a federal task force was instrumental in a federal investigation that led to an arrest in a sex trafficking case involving multiple states. The suspect, a Lowell man, was arrested on Friday, December 13, 2024, and charged with sex trafficking a victim in Massachusetts, Nevada, Rhode Island, and New York.
