The Department of Transportation will host an information session about the EZRide Shuttle and its recently expanded schedule. This event will include a short presentation on the EZRide, which is a shuttle bus service that is open to the public for free. The Shuttle goes from North Station through Kendall Square and MIT to Cambridgeport on weekdays. We will show the route and its recently expanded schedule, including the new weekend service. Join us at the Valente Branch to write your own secret messages with invisibe ink! The library will provide all required materials. This program is recommended for ages children ages 5 and up, and their guardians.

Celebrate the end of summer with neighbors old and new! We will have free food, games, crafts, bubbles and a clothing swap! All neighbors of any age are welcome. At 3:30 p.m. we will have a family-friendly concert with music by Music at the Blissful. This event will happen outside. In case of rain or bad weather there will be modified activities inside the O'Neill Branch.

Our monthly Middle Grade Mystery book group is for kids aged 10-14. Check out a copy of the book beforehand, or download it from the Libby app. Our February book is Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Valor by Ally Carter. This event has been moved to the Community Room on L2 at the Main Library, located at 449 Broadway, due to the temporary closing of the Valente Branch. Join us for an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class! This class will be taught at a beginner level. No testing is needed. Everyone is welcome. Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy for a meander through the neighborhood to meet city plants and explore their medicinal uses! We will explore weeds and cultivated plants, trees and shrubs, and have lots of space for questions and conversation. Bring a notebook if you like, and meet us at the Central Square Branch Library. Note this program begins at the library but will then walk throughout the neighborhood -- arriving late may mean you miss the group at the library and will not be able to catch up.

Come to the Library for games and a different activity each week! Kids of all ages can hang out and do crafts or STEAM activities. No registration required. This week we will be working with origami.
