July is Disability Pride Month. In honor of Disability Pride Month, Rachel Tanenhaus, ADA Coordinator for the City of Cambridge and Executive Director of the Cambridge Commission for People with Disabilities, reflects on what disability pride means to her.

As the Commonwealth ends the COVID-19 State of Emergency on June 15th, the City of Cambridge will resume permitting for special events and the use of City parks.

The Baker-Polito Administration announced a new preregistration signup tool will be available for the state’s 7 mass vaccination sites starting Friday, March 12. The new system will make it easier to request and book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at a nearby location when they are available.

 The City of Cambridge announced that it is offering a $75 debit card to people who live or work in Cambridge who get vaccinated for COVID-19 (first dose, second dose, or booster) at the city-sponsored clinic on Thursday, December 15, from 4-8 p.m., at CambridgeSide, 100 Cambridgesideplace.

Harvard Book Store, the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji—fourth President of the International Criminal Court, Distinguished International Jurist at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at the Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Special Advisor to the President of the University—for a discussion of his latest book End of Immunity: Holding World Leaders Accountable for Aggression, Genocide, War Crimes, and Crimes against Humanity. Harvard Book Store and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Susan Choi—author of the National Book Award-winning novel Trust Exercise—for a discussion of her new book Flashlight, a novel tracing a father’s disappearance across time, nations, and memory. She will be joined in conversation by Gish Jen—acclaimed author of Thank You, Mr. Nixon and The Resisters. Registration is required.

The "Remembering Together" support group is for patrons who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Facilitated by the library social worker, this online group offers a safe and confidential online space for peers to come together, share common experiences and heal in community.
