The 2015 Report to Assess LGBTQ Inclusive, Patient-Centered Care for Seniors Across Nine Major Healthcare Organizations in Cambridge

These changes are intended to reduce the impact of on-street parking removal as the City continues to build out bike and bus networks.

The City is partnering with Cambridge Savings Bank (CSB) to offer a four-week Financial Education Program for Cambridge entrepreneurs.

Using 30 languages represented in Cambridge, the new Welcome poster states, “You are welcome here,” and was woven together in a quilt-like design to represent the City’s rich cultural diversity. It also contains text to remind community members of their right to receive services and information in their preferred language, regardless of their immigration status. We encourage you to display this poster in a public-facing area of your department, like a reception desk. The poster is intended to convey solidarity with our immigrant community members visually. It can also be used as a tool for visitors to indicate the language they prefer to communicate in, which will help City staff coordinate appropriate interpretation or translation follow up.

The City of Cambridge commissioned this study to develop data and to develop strategies. At the highest level, the goal was to develop a full and clear understanding of all problems affecting residents’ ability to obtain and effectively use broadband—and to suggest a range of solutions. This study does not presuppose what the problems are or what the solutions should be. This study is about digital inclusiveness, or what the City of Cambridge has called “digital equity.”

Danehy’s signage can be confusing. Fitness stations are hard to find and people work out on benches. The City will improve fitness options for adults, add seating in the dog park, and revamp signage to show everybody what Danehy has to offer.

Block Party season is here and the City of Cambridge is increasing grants for block parties in 2024 to help more neighborhoods hold celebrations. Any block is eligible to apply for $300 in funding and free access to pop-up play equipment.

Join us for a morning walk at one of the most renowned birdwatching spots in Cambridge, Mount Auburn Cemetery! We will help you identify birds, learn birdwatching tips and tricks, and familiarize yourself with migratory birds as well as those that can be spotted all year round. A limited supply of binoculars will be available. The walk will meet at the Bird Sighting Board near the front entrance of Mt. Auburn Cemetery at 10:15 am. Registration is required. This event can only accommodate a certain number of participants. One registration is good for one person. If you do not register, you cannot participate. We’re looking for people to host trees as part of an innovative community art piece. Cambridge residents are invited to adopt a young apple tree as part of a project to give new life to a beloved apple tree that was removed as part of the reconstruction of the City of Cambridge's Tobin Montessori and Darby Vassall Upper Schools complex.
