Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Water in a Warming World Book: The High House by Jessie Greengrass Meetings will be held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. Copies of the book will be available at the Collins Branch during library hours. Join the Cambridge Public Health Department, the Community Safety Department, and the Cambridge Public Library for a panel discussion that aims to raise awareness and community knowledge about how to access national, state, and local resources. Attendees will hear from representatives with the Samaritans, the Community Safety Department (CARE team), and the Community Behavioral Health Center. Light refreshments and childcare will be provided. Registration is required.

Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Snacks will be provided. For ages 7-10 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is Julieta and the Diamond Enigma by Luisana Duarte Armendáriz. When a diamond goes missing from the Louvre, it is up to nine-year-old Julieta to identify the thief, exonerate her father, and return home to Boston before her baby brother is born. Includes glossary of French and Spanish words and notes about the Regent Diamond, Athena, and works of art mentioned in the book. Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family. To check-out a copy of the book, stop by the Children’s Room after you've registered.
