Youth ages 10-16 are welcome to join for four sessions of cooperative role-play and storytelling as we build out skills playing the table-top game DnD. The first session will include a character-building introduction followed by play continued into the next four sessions. No prior DnD experience is required, and experienced players are also welcome to join. Registration is attached to the first DnD session, 12/2. Please plan to attend all sessions and email msullivan@cambridgema.gov in case of absence. The City of Cambridge does not discriminate, including on the basis of disability. To mark the 250th anniversaries of the American Revolution and the founding of the United States, a coalition of local non-profits and government agencies will present Washington in American Memory, a seven-part speaker series. Consider how Americans understand the material culture of Washington and the Revolution, including art and clothing, featuring: Zara Anishanslin, author of The Painter’s Fire: A Forgotten History of the Artists Who Championed the American Revolution and Associate Professor of History and Art History at the University of Delaware Horace Ballard, author of Superfine: George Washington and the Free and Enslaved Men Who Dressed Him (forthcoming) and the Theodore E. July selection: The Antique Hunter's Guide to Murder by C.L. Miller This book group will meet virtually and in person at the Boudreau Branch. We will discuss current and classic mystery titles. Please register below if you would like to attend via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants one hour before the event.
