City Yard Waste Pickup Resumes April 3rd
The City of Cambridge offers residential curbside collection of Yard Waste from April 1 through December 31. Yard waste is banned from all landfills and incinerators in Massachusetts. This includes all leaves, grass, plants, shrub pruning and twigs. Place them on to the curb on your regular collection day by 7am or after 6pm the night before.
Participatory Budgeting (PB) Delegate Orientation
During this PB Delegate Orientation, volunteer Cambridge residents will join the City's Budget Team in learning more about the PB Delegate role. The orientation will cover an overview of the PB proposal development process, volunteer responsibilities and time commitment, as well as an opportunity for volunteers to choose their Delegate Committees and meet fellow volunteers.
CDC Recommends COVID-19 Vaccines for Young Children
CDC Director Rochelle P. Walensky, M.D., M.P.H., endorsed the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ (ACIP) recommendation that all children 6 months through 5 years of age should receive a COVID-19 vaccine. This expands eligibility for vaccination to nearly 20 million additional children and means that all Americans ages 6 months and older are now eligible for vaccination.
Cambridge Awarded Three AAA Ratings for 25th Consecutive Year
The City of Cambridge has retained its distinction of being one of approximately 24 cities in the United States to earn AAA ratings from each of the nation's three major credit rating agencies. For 25 consecutive years, the City has received these noteworthy ratings annually from Moody's Investors Service, S&P Global Ratings, and Fitch Ratings.
City of Cambridge Celebrates Black History Month With Music, Theater, Tributes and More
The City of Cambridge will host a series of events and feature a variety of stories throughout February in celebration of Black History Month. Throughout the month, programs led by the Public Library, Veterans Services, Office of Equity and Inclusion, and more will highlight Black theater, poetry, movies, musical traditions, and cuisine to celebrate Black heritage and culture.

Household Waste Collection Day Saturday November 5
The last Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day of 2022 for residents only will be held on Saturday, November 5, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., at 50 Mooney Street. Please enter the event via Smith Place off of Concord Avenue. The City’s Department of Public Works (DPW) and Cambridge Police Department will be on site to assist with traffic.
