Kidney Disease Info Session & Screening (Central Square)
Join us at the Central Square Branch Library for an informational session about kidney disease followed by a free kidney-focused screening and physician consultation.
This program is in partnership with the Harvard Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program (KDSAP) whose mission is to provide kidney focused health screenings and health education to underserved communities. Summer Reading: An Evening with Lola the Plant Lady (Main)
In this 60-minute workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of houseplant care, including how to choose the right plants for their space, understand light and watering needs, and troubleshoot common issues. The session also introduces the concept of “plantuition”—a more intuitive approach to plant care that encourages observation and confidence. This workshop is especially suited for renters, beginners, and anyone working with limited space or budget.

The Cambridge Youth Programs offer diverse, high quality programs that promote leadership and youth development through enrichment activities, unique experiences, and opportunities to develop relationships with adults and peers.
Peabody School Playground Improvements
The Peabody School in North Cambridge will undergo a playground improvement project guided by the City's ongoing commitment to the goals of the Healthy Parks and Playgrounds Initiative.
Summer Reading: Live Animal Program with Harvard Alpaca Ranch (Collins)
Alpacas from the Harvard Alpaca Ranch will be visiting the library for an educational program and meet and greet. Join us to learn more about alpacas and take some time to say hello! This event is intended for school-age children. Registration is not required.

November is International Games Month. Drop-in to play board and card games with neighbors, friends and family. Recommended for children ages 5 and up and their caregivers.
